The increase in Landfill Tax, combined with other statutory and regulatory changes, has driven up the cost of waste disposal dramatically in recent years. So much so that if a waste operator doesn't know what and how much they are collecting from each customer, it is bound to be affecting their profitability. It's fundamental to the success or failure of their business. We know many customers that were losing money on collections before they implemented proper weighing and monitoring processes. One major waste collector in the South of England reported savings of £10 000 per month on just two front-end loader vehicle collections after installing a weighing system, which enabled it to identify the weight of each customer's load and move those with the heaviest collections into a higher payment band.
