Welcome to the latest edition of the CIWM Journal, and an especially warm welcome to those of you that are receiving it for the first time... our new friends and members of the ESA. If you hadn't already got the message, CIWM and ESA have further strengthened their relationship through the Journal, and we'll have exclusive content from ESA staff and members to further develop the content of this publication, starting with six dedicated pages looking at policy and some of the latest industry issues. This does, however, mean that the industry must say goodbye to Resource Management & Recovery, the ESA's former publication, but we hope that receiving the CIWM Journal, our CIWM Journal Online newsletter and that by making more of the CIWM Journal Online website, it will more than make up for that particular loss! And if you did want to look back over any issues of RMR, the archive will be appearing on the CIWM Journal Online website any day now...
