Biffa has recently added a new fleet of Mercedes Econics chassis with Faun/Zoeller body/lifter equipment to its fleet.The will to serve in a long-standing refuse and recycling collection contract in Stratford-on-Avon. The new units, which replace 18 machines purchased in 2008, include a mix of 13 three-axle 26-tonners and five four-axle 32-tonners.The outgoing fleet has covered 3bn km and collected over 31m bins over a seven year working live, which some poor soul has calculated equates to 113,000 tonnes of residual waste, 97,000 tonnes of dry recyclables and 128,000 tonnes of garden waste!
