Vision Techniques has some new kit on show at the forthcoming RWM with CIWM event, plus it's the 25th anniversary of the company - two things worth celebrating. The new high-tech system is called VT Ident and it's designed to allow a programmable timer access to all sorts of electrical systems on a vehicle including ignition, brakes or more specialised stuff such as bin-lifters. "Tagged" levels of access ensure unauthorised use is prevented - a major health and safety benefit. It can also be used to shut down engine and other systems if required so it has anti-theft and anti-vandalism advantages too.The system has already been trialled by Biffa and is now ready to go.
