Ciwm has announced that The Clean Britain Awards 2014 is now open for entries, offering the chance for local authorities and community groups in the UK to be recognised for their excellence and best practice in street cleansing and the local environment. Commenting on the Clean Britain Awards 2014, Steve Lee, CEO, CIWM said: "The effort that goes into maintaining clean streets and public spaces is all too often under-appreciated by those not directly involved. The quality of our local environment contributes directly to our sense of wellbeing and civic pride and also plays a vitally important role in improving the economic prosperity of our towns, cities and rural districts."
