FCC Environment is committed to achieving high standards in health and safety and has invested in a programme to ensure the safety of its customers, suppliers and staff. As part of this programme it carried out a review of its traffic management systems and processes, which identified an improvement for reducing incidents with mobile plant. Following successful testing of its braking system (designed to prevent an operator driving into a pedestrian through the detection zone), it will be rolled out to existing plant in line with the first phase of the programme and will become part of the standard safety specification for all future wheel loaders purchased.
