Uk Container Maintenance Limited (UKCM) was founded back in 1998 after Emma Elston and her husband, Julian, saw a gap in the waste management industry that just wasn't being catered for. Bin refurbishment. It sounds like a simple and cost-effective solution to having to buy new containers, but it was something that just wasn't very common. Back then, Julian went to work for a national waste company where part of his duties were to collect containers that had been damaged and needed replacing. "One night when he came home from bringing back a damaged container he said to me 'this is daft, why don't we just go out and repair it?'" Emma said, explaining how it all began.
