Initial reactions to the announcement of a£250m fund to support weekly waste collections were not exactly positive. Comments such as "...encouraging councils to undo all the hard work...", "...addressing a problem that didn't really exist..." and " ...disappointed at the lack of clarity..." were how local authorities summed up their immediate reactions to the announcement. But how about now, several months after the initial announcement and a few weeks since the prospectus for the funding was unveiled?
