More than 30 percent of local authorities now include beverage cartons in their kerbside collections, and this number is set to increase by a further 10 percent during 2011, according to TetraPak, one of the world's leading food packaging campanies. In addition, 87 percent of councils offer other recycling facilities, such as bring banks.At present, drinks cartons collected for recycling are shipped to a reprocessing facility in Sweden,but Tetra Pak now plans to develop reprocessing capacity in the UK within the next 18 months.
