Sita UK has submitted a planning application to Suffolk County Council to develop an energy from waste facility, following prolonged engagement with residents and stakeholder groups. The plant will process approximately 270000 tonnes of residual waste and create more than 40 long-term jobs. SITA UK project manager, James Dowell, commented: "... we are very confident that energy from waste is the best option to make Suffolk an even greener county."
