Yes, IT really is great when a plan comes together and the Pelican Group is certainly going for "The A-Team" moniker, judging by the speed at which things are coming together at Wakefield. What plan? Well, the Pelican Group is already doing well with DAF, MAN and Hino truck franchises, and through associated group member company Knottingly Trucks it also has a BMC municipal chassis dealership. The Group announced a bold expansion plan last year aimed at winning more waste, recycling, highways and street cleansing business. Pelican is now up-and-running as a distributor of Dulevo sweepers from the East Midlands and the Potteries, right up to the Scottish border, where Alpha Plus takes over. Already four new Dulevo machines have been ordered (by Kier).
