The Hundredth company has signed up to use an on-pack recycling label, which lets shoppers know how much of the packaging can be recycled. Launched by the British Retail Consortium (BRC) -and supported by WRAP -the label has already received the support of leading brands such as Birdseye, Innocent, Henkel, GlaxoSmithKline and WH Smith. The label now appears on more than 60000 product lines, with the brands and retailers already signed up accounting for more than 90 percent of all grocery sales in the UK. Having reached the century landmark, the BRC now plans to focus on raising public awareness of the label.
