With the Government well on its way to decentralising and passing the responsibility for handling all major infrastructure planning to the councils, the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) has highlighted the challenges the ambitious Zero Waste plan faces. Its report, Making Ends Meet: Maximising the Value of Waste, recommends a well-co-ordinated and informed approach on the part of the Government in realising the potential in waste and to attract investments towards the development of sound infrastructure to chase its targets.
