摘要

This September sees the return of the CIWM's New Generation Group (NGG) national conference. This year's event in Warwick will be the 10th conference aimed specifically at those new to the waste industry. The first ever NGG national event was held at Loughborough University in April 1998. Entitled Waste in the Next Millennium the conference included presentations on technical issues, careers, research projects and professional development. This was followed by Waste Around The World, Ways With Waste and 2001: A Waste Odyssey. The conferences were addressed by a number of senior industry figures, including past president Steve Aston, future president David Beadle and the then head of waste regulation at the Environment Agency, and now of CIWM, Steve Lee!
