New guidance has been made available by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) to help local authorities understand the importance of a sensible approach to health and safety in terms of managing and procuring waste and recycling services.rnIt identified that a contributing factor could be that local authorities were unclear of their legal duties, and sometimes believed that putting a service out to contract relieved them of all health and safety responsibilities. The new online guidance gives information on how to make health and safety an integral part of the process.
