New Hse/Wish guidance is now available for those who produce and collect commercial waste, to help prevent "waste bin deaths" or the injury of people who shelter in waste bins. People In Commercial Waste Containers has been produced after three people were found dead at waste depots following waste being unloaded from collection vehicles, since May 2009. Anecdotal reports also suggests there have been many occasions where people have been discovered alive in bins prior to them being emptied.
