Defra will be consulting for a second time on changing the definition of municipal waste used in the Landfill Allowance Trading Scheme. Having established the intention in the original consultation, Defra has been working to finalise the precise amendments to legislation and will be consulting a second time to ensure that the final version of the regulations achieves the desired outcome.
