The waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations 2006' (the Regulations) came into force on 01 January 2007 and aim to:rn1. reduce waste from electrical and electronic equipmentrn2. encourage the separate collection of WEEErn3. encourage treatment, re-use, recovery, recycling and sound environmental disposal of WEEErn4. make producers of EEE responsible for the environmental impact of their productsrn5. improve the environmental performance of all those involved during the lifecycie of EEE.
