After Releasing its latest waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) collection figures from across its household waste recycling sites (HWRS), Viridor has claimed to be ahead of the national average.rnThe company is reporting a collection rate of 8.2kg per head of population in the areas it serves, while the UK average remains just under 6.8kg per head.rnIn some areas, where the HWRS have been redeveloped and targeted campaigns put in place, Viridor has reported successes of almost double the national average. West Sussex, for example, has reported an average of 11 kg per head from the 11 sites in the county, while in Suffolk, Somerset and Monmouthshire a level of 10kg was achieved.
