Qi read with interest the Q&A in September's CIWM journal (page 53). You mentioned how the WEEE Regulations apply to "business-to-business" relationships, but could you add some clarity for me on the following?rnThe Environmental Protection Act (EPA) identifies prison waste as household waste. Prisons get through a large number of tubes and lamps for which we have set in place arrangements to have this waste stream recycled. Recently, a supplier of tubes and lamps started charging an additional cost as an "environment" cost. The supplier also refused to take back tubes, except those from manufacturers they deal with.
