When oil and gas companies started to explore the mid Sahara areas in North Africa, gas was discovered, and a couple of big projects got underway to build treatment plants for transporting gas to the European markets via the pipeline infrastructure.I was among those tasked to set up the waste and water infrastructure for what was basically four small towns, and have been doing so for eight years now, gradually building up an infrastructure that has had an affect not only on the other oil and gas companies that have arrived since the inception of the projects, but also to a small measure on the national legislation and, to a greater extent, upon the recycling industry that has started to spring up.
