The Biological Treatment and Sanitary Landfill Working Groups of the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA) held their spring meetings in Athens at the invitation of the Hellenic Solid Waste Management Association and Athens-based waste consultancy and engineering company,EPEM.In addition to the individual working group meetings a joint meeting was held to debate the interface between mechanical biological treatment and landfill.
