Packaging has become an "issue" again.A campaign launched by The Independent last month received an overwhelming response,not just because excess packaging is bad for the environment,but also because it's irritating.The public,in greater numbers,has finally had enough of retailers encouraging over-consumption by limiting our purchasing choices to fruit and vegetables in pre-packaged containers,preventing us from buying the precise amount we want or need.Enough of the hype about giving consumers what they "demand" when what is really being provided to consumers is brand messages.
