We have been waiting a long time for the first demonstration plant to reach 100 percent working capacity - two years, in fact. And just like London buses two come along at once. The Ludlow-based Greenfinch/South Shropshire anaerobic digester will reach 100 percent capacity in June and will begin taking visitors shortly after. The facility will produce biogas for energy production from 5000 tonnes of source segregated kitchen waste. Just a few miles away in Leominster, Bioganix is already processing green waste in its in-vessel composter. Its visitor centre will also open late June/ early July.
