摘要

Each week tends to differ from the last. I work in the regulatory support team within the wider waste-resource management service area. My day job involves providing environmental permitting and waste regulatory support. However, I also help our bid support team on public sector residual waste-management tenders, and local authority clients to develop new waste-management facilities. As such, I have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of projects for waste operators, developers and local authorities. I am currently working on projects ranging from the development of a strategically important energy-from-waste plant through to various deposit-for-recovery applications - in some cases helping to turn former quarries into recreational and wildlife-supporting spaces. Although I'm generally office-based, a typical week involves site visits and client meetings, plus travel to other sites to engage with the wider service team.
