Feedback is a fundamental part of coaching and mentoring, and of line management - but you don't have to be a manager or mentor to give feedback. Often, we are not even aware that we are doing it, as our gestures can 'leak' our views. If poorly delivered, it can elicit a negative reaction. Sometimes, the problem isn't the feedback itself, but the fact that appropriate feedback is not given when needed.
