Found in many laptops, mobile phones and plastic toys, these batteries contain valuable metals and materials which, if extracted correctly, can be reused when making new goods. Not owning a mobile phone, tablet or laptop is a true rarity in the UK these days and the nation is always seeking the next device. So, what happens to our old ones?
