One of the founding fathers of circular economy theory, Walter Stahel, will speak at a CIWM event this spring. The Festival of Circular Economy will be held online on 20-21 April 2021, and is intended to be a forum for the generation of ideas and connections to accelerate progress towards a world without waste. As well as celebrating successful initiatives around the world, service providers and innovators will offer insights on how to push forward your contribution to the circular economy.Stahel, whose work in the 1980s and 1990s laid the foundations for current circular thinking, said: 'It will be my privilege to show how recyclers and waste managers in charge of today's legacy waste will become managers of "Value platforms" for components and molecules, once circular materials have been commercialised.'
