India's Coastal Gujarat Power has awarded an US$23.33M contract to Denmark's FLSmidth to supply and erect a coal handling system for its Ultra Mega Power Plant (UMPP) in western Gujarat state. Coastal Gujarat Power is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Power, India's largest private power utility.rnThe scope of the contract includes a complete handling system to convey coal from port to a stockpile and from there to the power plant. The system has a 6,800t/hour stockpiling capacity and 4,500t/ hour reclaiming capacity.
