摘要

Those involved in mathematical modelling are undertaking a creative process. Within any domain there will always be a wide variety of models developed with differences in structure, form, purpose, and complexity. However, there are times when models developed within one domain can find reuse in another quite different domain and this source of new material should never be ignored. This paper gives an example of the reuse of models from population modelling within the context of a book circulation investigation to emphasise the power that reusability can offer.
