ON the 13th of February, we held the first regional conference of ZDHC in South Asia under the theme of Accelerating sustainable chemical management -Connecting the Dots! Nearly 300 delegates from India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka participated in the event and discussed on the Integration, Implementation, Innovation of sustainable chemical management and environmental practices. Special addresses and keynote speeches included the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry, the Asia Dyestuff Industries Federation, the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Mr. Punit Lalbhai, Executive Director Arvind and renowned industry expert Dr. Prasad Modak from the Ekonnect Knowledge Foundation. Several panel discussions focused on the perspectives of brands, manufacturers and chemical companies for the implementation of environmental practices and innovation of safer chemistry.
