DEPARTMENT of Handlooms and Textiles, Government of Tamil Nadu organized a Higher Diploma In Cooperative Management. The newly recruited Assistant Directors were the participants of the programme. The training programme was scheduled from 02/01/2019 to 31/03/2019. The training programme included field visits to IIHT - Salem, centralized water treatment plant - Tirupur, TCTP - Erode, SITRA -Coimbatore, ROTC - Coimbatore, Palladam high tech weaving park, Karur textile park, Pudukottai cooperative spinning mill, Anna cooperative spinning mill - Theni, Weaver's service centre, Cooptex- Chennai and etc. Apart from the field trip the newly recruited Assistant Directors were exposed to theoretical topics with scheduled lectures in SVPITM. The programme was organized for 4 days. During the programme the dedicated sessions on textile and management were held by expert speakers in the respective fields. The chief guest for the inaugural session was Thiru.S.Periyasamy, Chief Executive Officer, Atal Incubation Center, Tirupur. The welcome address was delivered by Ms. Anitha, Faculty - SVPITM. Mr.Mohanraj, Head-Textiles, SVPITM, deliberated the participants on the various outcomes of the programme.
