摘要

It is heartening to note that the second wave of the pandemic has started receding in many parts of the globe, including our country. The unprecedented pandemic has created many hardships to the humanity all over the world. As per the latest information, more than 38 lacs people perished. In our own country, COVID-19 has played havoc among the populace. It accounted for more than 3 lacs deaths till date. End of the pandemic does not seem in the near future. Though the 2nd wave has started diminishing in many parts of the country, the authorities are still averse and very cautious to relax the stringent lockdown measures to arrest the spread. Their concern is quite understandable and justified. At least one shot of the vaccination has been administered on more than 22 crores of the people in the country. Of late, there have been many candidates, including imported vaccines for inoculation. As it appears that full eradication of the pandemic may not be possible in the present context, vaccination can play a vital role from spreading the disease.
