THE Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) has urged the ministry of finance for refund of Integrated Goods and Services Tax (IGST) paid on the import of machinery used by the apparel manufacturer exporters. In a letter to GK Pillai, chairman of the drawback committee, AEPC has highlighted the anomalous situation after the implementation of GST.
