The 72nd A G M of the Indian Textile Accessories & Machinery Manufacturers' Association (ITAMMA) was held on 25th September at Mumbai. Dr. K. Balasubramanian, Distinguished Scientist & Director, Nonferrous Materials Technology Department Centre (NFTDC) was the chief guest on this occasion. Welcoming the guests Mr. S. Senthilkumar, President, ITAMMA said: "Prior to the discussions on the achievements of our Association during the period under review, let me make a quick reference to the general economy. Briefly speaking, we are neither over-whelmingly optimistic nor desperately pessimistic over the present global economic fundamentals, as the indicators also do not transmit benign impulses. So much so, it does not reveal a much bewildered set back in the vicinity, except an obvious slow-down on the Radar. -Beyond the fact referred, we witness a manageable rate of Inflation - a blessing in disguise, despite the GDP diving to un-presentable levels when compared to earlier years.
