Nature is a source of happiness and to be healthy should be ultimate goal for all. In line with this, ISCMA organised a couple of lectures by Mr. Deepak Bhimani on Glorious Himalayas and REIKI Master Mrs.K.Subadra Murthy on Healing Touch of REIKI succeeding the AGM on 26th September 2014 at the Conference Hall. Reiki is a healing therapy that is popular all over the world and in recent years has been accepted by physicians as a helpful support therapy to regular medical treatment. Some hospitals in the western countries allow licensed practitioners to give Reiki to patients who ask for it. Reiki is a very simple technique that can be learnt by anyone. Excerpts: Mr.Deepak Bhimani, President welcomed the members and with his avid interest in photography, astronomy and trekking, he made an audio visual presentation on Glorious Himalayas (8,000 metres) with its 40,000 glaciers that he and a group of like minded people had undertaken in several expeditions. They had trekked about 15 kms a day in various terrains. The glory of Mount Everest; journey to Tibet (1300 lakes) crossing Nepal, rivers like Brahmaputra; Jokam palace; Dalai Lama residence Potala palace; Parikrama at Mount Kailash, abode of Lord Shiva; Mansarovar; Kangri; Rohtang Pass connecting the Kullu valley of H.P were some of the highlights.
