The apparel imports from Bangladesh is increasing at a phenomenal rate. According to reports, export of apparel items from Bangladesh to India has increased to US $ 1 billion during Bangladeshi fiscal year of 1 July 2011 to 30 June 2012 as against apparel exports of $ 0.45 billion in the last fiscal year. The Bangladeshi exporters are upbeat and confident that the apparel exports to India will surpass US $ 2 billion in the 2012-13 fiscal year, according to reports, reaching Mumbai.
