The Indian Woollen Mills' Federation (IWMF) has called upon the government to abolish import duty of greasy wool, woollen rags, flax fibre and other animal fibre. Addressing the 39th annual general meeting of the Federation, Mr. Raj Khanna, Chairman, IWMF, urged for reduction of import duty to 5 on wool tops of 15.6 microns or coarser where facilities are available in the country for converting raw wool into wool tops.
