Bangladesh Garments Accessories and Packaging Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGAPMEA) aims to achieve US$ 12 billion target in export of garment accessories by the year 2018. Mr. Safiullah Chowdhury, chief advisor of BGAPMEA, told fibre2fashion, "Currendy, our export market is growing at the rate of eight to ten percent and we are planning to achieve the target of US$ 12 billion i.e., 90 percent growth in export market by 2018." "Our member industries have already taken several steps for reaching the target," he adds.
