THE exports of Indian man-made fibre textiles has increased four-fold in last 10 years - from Rs 5730 crores in 2001-2002 to Rs 21570 crores in 2010-11, informed Mr. V.K. Ladia, Chairman, Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC), in Mumbai recently.Addressing the 57th annual general meeting of the council, Mr. Ladia said exports of MMF textiles during the year 2010-11 which were to the tune of Rs 21570 crores (US$4,645 million) recorded a growth of around 9% in rupee terms and nearly 12% in dollar terms compared to the corresponding period of last year. Fabrics dominated the MMF exports with 50% share followed by Yarn 26%, made-ups 16%) and Fibre 8%.
