Adoption of clean and resource efficient production techniques can greatly help the 1,700 textile washing, dyeing and finishing units to save their money as well as resources, according to syed nayeem emran, team leader of textiles and apparels of south asia enterprise development facility (sedf), an organization managed by international finance corporation (ifc). Citing an example, he said, adoption of clean and resource efficient production techniques helped 12 factories in dhaka to jointly save one million usd and 800 million litres of water annually.
