摘要

The effect of nanosilver treatment on 100% cotton, P/C and lycra blended fabrics on antimicrobial properties has been studied.ComparAtive studies have been made with and without softener application. It was observed that the fabrics treated with nanosilver and softener provides good antimicrobial properties than without softener. The knitted garments treated with nanosilver and softener reduces the microbial activity to a larger extent compared to the same treated with nanosilver without softener. Nano silver treated garments control microbes growth even after repeated laundering cycles and the antimicrobial efficacy is higher for lycra and P/ C blended fabrics than 100% cotton.
