Stain removal although thousands of years old, is still a developing field. Substantial. progress has been made over the years, although the improvement of stain removal efficiency had not been as uninterrupted development. Changes in economic climate and consumer needs have kept the producers of stain removers, fibres and textile chemicals active in adapting their products to the prevailing market conditions. The need to respond to the rapidly changing market requires a thorough understanding of the process as well as meaningful test methods.
