摘要

The aqueous extract of Pisiacia integerrima leaves of family Anacardiaceae was optimized for dyeing the wool yarn. The standardization of different variables on the optimization of dyeing procedure on P. integerrima dye was carried out, particularly by comparing with natural (Alnus nepalensis) and common synthetic (alum, copper sulfate, stannous chloride) mordants. On the addition of these mordants, a number of new color shades stable against light and washing factors were obtained. In comparison of synthetic mordants, the natural mordant (A. nepalensis) produced better results that are safer and eco-friendly.
