Modern society expects biotechnology to be the answer for many worldwide problems like depletion of energy sources, incurable illnesses, pollution etc. Industrial use of biotechnology, known as White Biotechnology, is bringing about new products and processes, which are aimed at using renewable resources, as well as the application of greener technologies with lower energy consumption and environmentally healthier practices.
