摘要

A review on the patented literature on fibre modifications, manufacturing processes and application areas other than textiles is presented here for the period July 2004 to December 2005. The non-textile uses are increasing in number over the past few years. In a nutshell, newer additives to existing textile polymers, newer techniques of fibre preparation, newer raw materials and newer applications are the highlights of this review.
