Structural variations in the disazo disperse dyes are discussed briefly. Disazo disperse dyes constitute a small group containing mainly yellow to orange shades, however the entire shade range is obtainable in this class. About 10% of all disperse dyes come from disazo class. Some disazo disperse dyes are known to have affinity towards polypropylene. The increased molecular weight in disazo disperse may have its usual consequence such as increase in sublimation fastness and decreased brightness.
