The cotton fibre test line technology has been established for over 20 years now, and yet the demand for this technology is still increasing. The integration of different testing systems within one compact unit has technical advantages as well as economic reasons. Uster Technologies Inc is the current market leader for cotton fibre test lines following the acquisition of the Motion Control and Spinlab companies several years back. Premier Polytronics Pvt Ltd is becoming more of a competition for Uster. The HVI unit from Uster and the ART unit from Premier are partially based on the same physical measurement principles yet have different means of carrying these out.
