While discussing the topic of printing of syntheticpolyester fibre fabrics , only one common style of printing ie. Direct Printing style was studied. This is the basic style of printing any fibre or dyestuff class. Any printing study of polyester will not be complete unless the other important styles ie. the resist and discharge style" of printing are also discussed. These styles of printing add higher value to the fabrics and make for better quality of the finished fabrics.Let us now study the Resist Process. The resist style of printing is classified into two categories namely: (1) Physical Resist (2) Chemical Resist / Discharge.
