摘要

Relatively easy process in spinning and unique properties of Lyocell fibres like Tencel, have attracted considerable attention across the spectrum of fiber applications particularly in the apparel industry. At the same time, eco-friendly fibers and fabrics are gradually gaining importance in this age due to environmentalist movement throughout the world. Consumers in the developed countries are perpetually looking for biodegradable and eco-friendly textiles to preserve the environment. Compared to manufacturing of other synthetic and regenerated fibers, which involves the disposal of wastes and effluent materials, tencel manufacturing is an eco-friendly process. Its manufacturing has solved the eco-friendly problems and difficulties. With the commencement of new millennium, it is appropriate that once again we look into products, which can be obtained from nature, which is eco-friendly to help us move to more value added and sustainable solutions.
